The Dampner
It began with green
And spread with a twitter
Little heads burst with ideas
To correct the world with only a murmur
It began with yellow
And spilled with a warmth
Overpowering fragrances
That trusted in rebirths
It began with blue
And spread with a vastness
Clean and lucid
Free of darkness
Just then…
It turned blindingly white
And spread with a speed
Swiping at the colors
Making pleasure recede
Spring was just pushed roughly aside
As mountains sent snow down the valley side
But the greens still peek
And the yellows still wink
The blues still hide
Behind large nimbus chinks
Sweet spring will come
Soon you see,
Who has ever
Stopped the birds and bees!
It began with green
And spread with a twitter
Little heads burst with ideas
To correct the world with only a murmur
It began with yellow
And spilled with a warmth
Overpowering fragrances
That trusted in rebirths
It began with blue
And spread with a vastness
Clean and lucid
Free of darkness
Just then…
It turned blindingly white
And spread with a speed
Swiping at the colors
Making pleasure recede
Spring was just pushed roughly aside
As mountains sent snow down the valley side
But the greens still peek
And the yellows still wink
The blues still hide
Behind large nimbus chinks
Sweet spring will come
Soon you see,
Who has ever
Stopped the birds and bees!

Thankyou Atreyaji, Pooja and Jitooji for reading and writing back. I thought finally we were having spring here at Utah but nah! Fresh snow has left the grounds white. But then... kabhi na kabhi to spring ko aana padega!

Dear Julieji,
A delightful cornucopia of nature's colours alive in the hope of arrival of a new spring. A vivid imagery, a perfect composition ! Kudos !

Hi Julie
Nice website and blog, it seems to have taken a lot of hardwork.
The orange flowers photo - is that something you have taken yourself or found it somewhere? I am looking for pictures for my blog.
Regards
HS
